The TRD N2 harks back to when the AE86 Levin / Trueno was used in Japanese Stock Car racing. The highest level in Japanese Stock Car is N2 - hence the designation.

Visually the N2 AE86's were different due to the huge blistered arches that were fitted to the car. This was done in order to widen the track and allow the fitment of wider wheels.

Very few N2 cars in existence are official N2 cars, many are converted stock body AE86's. The kit is readily available from numerous sources

Here is an example of what an N2 Trueno looks like. This car in particular is my own N2 Trueno. It was converted by the garage that owned it prior to myself.
